When are you ready to invest in professional branding photography?

Investments in your business are so personal. They are also pretty scary and not all of them are great to be honest. I should know, I made a few bad investments in the first two years of being in my business and although I don’t completely regret them because they led me to find the right path for me, my bank balance could have done without them.

So when is it time to invest in professional branding photography?

The short answer is, when you’re ready to get serious about selling. Have a look at this blog post about photos vs a logo!

You need to get professional photos if any of these scenarios resonate:

  • You struggle to show your face online because you pick apart your selfies so you hide away as a faceless business owner

  • You are constantly scrolling through stock image websites looking for decent photos to post but are sick and tired of seeing everyone use the same ones

  • You keep being asked for a headshot for press opportunities and you can’t find anything that doesn’t have you holding a gin and tonic in it

  • You are ready for your clients to fall in love with your story and your brand and get to know you

  • You are serious about your business and you want it to succeed

  • You want to tap into some CEO energy and you are ready to feel empowered

  • You want to celebrate how far you’ve come and how much you’ve achieved in business and a photoshoot feels like the perfect opportunity

And the list doesn’t end there! Send me an email and tell me why you think you are ready to invest in professional photography.

I’ve worked with clients that use it as a celebration that they’ve gone out on their own, some that use it as a message to themselves that they can be brave and do hard things and some to kickstart their own self love journey.

The moral of the story is, customers are now buying from people they feel are human, that they feel like they know and can trust. In a day and age where everyone feels like Taylor Swift is their best friend and they were right there with her in that Superbowl box cheering on her new beau, we need your customers to feel like that with you too.

Here’s the bottom line: if you aren’t showing your face, they are never going to feel like that.

So here’s 3 things you can do RIGHT NOW to kickstart that relationship with your client.

(Disclaimer: they feel scary, but once you’ve had a go, it will never be that scary again).

  1. Show up on stories.

Pop onto Instagram stories and tell your customers something exciting that is happening to you this week, or something you are looking forward to or something a customer said about you that was lovely. I started with this, and now I am often showing up to complain about my disastrous omelette making. People are invested in my omelette journey…

  2. Post a photo of you on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, or wherever your audience hang out, that introduces yourself.

Tell your customers who you are and how you can help them. Don’t have a great photo? That leads me onto number 3.

  3. Book the shoot.

If you want to dip your toe in the water I do 20 minute sessions which are the perfect taster for you to get a few professional shots and realise that shoots with me are super fun and not that scary! If you are ready to jump in and go for it then contact me about your full branding shoot. I’m here to watch you thrive in those new silver cowboy boots that make you feel great, get in front of the camera and have a good time.

📍 I work all over the UK and I am so ready to help you bring your vision to life and get photos that really reflect your personality and your business. It’s go time, let’s do this!
