London branding shoot at Soho Works with digital marketing consultant, Hannah Spicer Consulting
Hannah came to me looking for some new images for her website and social media following a big rebrand. She works with luxury retail brands to create the perfect email marketing strategies and so was looking for some elevated but personality packed images to appeal to her target market.
The first challenge with any branding shoot is what is the perfect location. As a Soho Works member and a frequent visitor to the office spaces, it felt like the perfect location to host the shoot and so Hannah booked a meeting room as a private space to create the images in. (This was the White City location which had chefs kiss interiors).
We met super early (7am is an early shoot call time) but we were hoping the space would be as empty as possible to make full use of it. It also meant we could ease into shooting gently and started the day with a coffee and a chat. It is super important for me to really understand what lights you up, what you can talk passionately about and what expressions you make when you chat. That was I can understand what an authentic smile is for you and truly capture your personality.
I also like the slow warm up as everything feels far less pressured and it’s much easier to open up to someone holding a camera that you are genuinely enjoying the company of rather than someone who just comes in, says nothing and clicks a box at you! Feeling as comfortable as possible is the key to getting the most relaxed photos.
I loved this day with Hannah. It was a dreamy space, wonderful natural light and Hannah had outfits that were styled to perfection by herself too. She leant into my 4 outfit method: an outfit to be cosy in; one for a client meeting; one for an event and lastly one that you love but never get an occasion to wear!
