Modern lifestyle, office headshots for a central London Agency
Office headshots are way better when there are puppies involved. Fact.
Seriously considering writing their necessity into my contract to be honest. Despite being a cat person. But I totally understand how impractical a central London office cat would be. I have two of them, and the amount they sit on my hands preventing me from typing is a sackable offence.
So when Gifta UK got in touch and asked me to capture the team’s headshots for their new website, LinkedIn profiles and personal brands I was excited. Then they told me two members of the team had four legs and were furry. Winning.
Now I fundamentally disagree with the whole school portraits era of photography. The queueing up, the dodgy backdrop, the heckling from behind. No one needs that these days. And when you run a cool central London agency why on earth would you want that?
So I proposed a group headshot walk around Shoreditch for the team. I know some great spots in the city and I wanted to celebrate the personalities of the team and give them some variety for their individual profiles. No half closed eyes and weird expression being the only image you get. Or worse - forced smiles and soulless eyes.
By walking around and having a chat before the shoot even starts, everyone relaxes, there is friendly conversation amongst the group and an excited energy (well from the pups, anyway…)
As I got to work with each team member in a handful of locations I could see each person relax and breathe into the shoot, resulting in scroll-stopping, imagery that actually reflects their personality. It also definitely stands out in a sea of black backdrop, studio shots. It’s 2024. Let’s spice it up.
Here’s what Lottie had to say about the shoot:
“Working with Becky was great! Her creative eye and warm personality (and good vibes) resulted in a set of awesome headshots. 10/10 recommend!”
Time to ditch those old school headshots…
Do you have a team that you want captured in a fun and interesting way? Has school picture day haunted you your whole life? I can help.
